How US and Isra-l manufacture consent

Noam Chomsky* calls it ‘manufacturing consent’: the establishment media spin events to misrepresent reality. Palestinians suffer from it more than anyone else.

Hamas is being presented as the ‘rejectionist’ party across the media. But it’s Isra-l and the US that violated the ceasefire agreement by refusing to negotiate the second phase, as promised.

So the US came up with a wheeze: let’s offer Hamas an ‘extension’ of phase one on terms that are impossible for them to accept. When they say no, we’ll say they rejected the offer. They’ll get the blame.

The spin works only because western media are in the pocket of the billionaire class. Don’t keep falling for their lies.

I used to generously take the view that “journalists” were just super lazy and took whatever the official line was at face value. It’s clear now that there’s so much information out there it’s impossible for them not to know and they’re fully complicit.

They broke the ceasefire so many times, they now close the gates so none can bring food or medcins to Gaza, they are terrorists, humans don’t want any israHell or US around anymore.

The real story: : “Isra-l yesterday reneged on its agreed peace talk framework with Hamas, the Palestinian militant group, and blocked all humanitarian aid to starving Gazans unless its tough new demands were met. The aid move defies international humanitarian law.”

I think Michael Parenti’s “Inventing Reality” is closer to what Isra-l propagandises regarding the Palestinians.
