Why are Muslim politicians silent and complicit in China’s Uyghur crimes?

1. Intro

The otherwise well-researched original article, which is quoted here, has the title: Muslim countries are not only silent but also complicit in China’s crimes against the Uyghurs. Concerning ”Muslim countries,” it is clear that the inhabitants of those countries have no say in the politics of their own states, as they are mostly ruled by dictators, crooks, and disbelievers (kafirs). Of course, some are better than others, but most are worse.

We use the expression ”Muslim politicians” or more accurate ”the political leaders of Muslim majority countries” instead of ’Muslim leaders’, because a leader has to have certain minimal ethical qualities and the propensity to care for the Muslim community or ummah. If this care and concern is not made real, then it goes against the most fundamental principles of the dīn ( ≈ religion ) of Islam, that it is one nation or ummah!

2. Quotes From Original Article:

”Blind to the mounting wave of evidence concerning atrocities against the Uyghurs, Muslim nations continue not only to turn a blind eye to the suffering of their fellow believers but also lavish praise on their persecutors.

”The Taliban takeover of Afghanistan and its kowtowing to China, not only over its wealth of subterranean treasures but also over the fate of hundreds of Uyghurs on its soil, has again put the spotlight on the Islamic world and its silence over the atrocities in Xinjiang.

”Blind to the mounting "tidal wave" of evidence concerning atrocities against the Uyghurs, crimes that many Western democracies have assessed as genocide, Muslim nations continue not only to turn a blind eye to the suffering of their fellow believers but lavish praise on their persecutors.

□ comment: this is so shameful, and it shows what kind of leaders they are because whoever does not care about the affairs of the Muslims is not one of them.

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The parable of the believers in their affection, mercy, and compassion for each other is that of a body. When any limb aches, the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever.”

Narrated by Al-Nu’man ibn Bashir; Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6011, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2586

Giving evidence to the recent Uyghur Genocide Tribunal in London, Uyghur Muslim, Abdul Hakim Idris, accused China of wielding its economic might to buy the silence of predominantly Islamic nations, and those nations[1] of capitulating without a struggle.[1 → the corrupt leaders of those nations, see above 1. Intro.]

Refusing to criticise Beijing for widely publicised mass incarcerations, disappearances and its onslaught against religion and culture, Muslim leaders are colluding with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) illusion that crackdowns against Uyghurs are mainly to do with fighting extremism. Playing the terrorism card is convenient, maintains Idris because these leaders avoid having to alienate a wealthy and powerful benefactor and one to whom they are beholden.

3. Muslim Countries

”Crippling loans and ambitious infrastructure projects have ensured that countries of the Organisation Of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), including
– Saudi Arabia,
– Egypt,
– Pakistan,
– the UAE,
– Qatar and
– Algeria, have all, on paper at least, bought into China’s justification of the detention of up to three million of its Turkic Muslims, the abduction of at least half a million of its infants and children, the destruction of mosques and religious sites, the creation of a virtual open prison throughout the entire North-Western region and the widespread enforced sterilisation of its women.”

”Leaders in other Muslim-majority states and territories, such as
– Bahrain,
– Egypt,
– Iran,
– Morocco,
– Palestine, and
– the United Arab Emirates, have given their backing to China’s Uyghur policies in the United Nations.”

□ comment: poor, and some are not poor at all, all selling their souls for whatever gain…

4. Examples of Collaboration With China’s Government

[adapted from the article]

– Egypt: Dozens of Uyghur students were sent back to uncertain fates in China.
– Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kirghistan: Countless Uyghurs handed back to China.
– Dubai: secret jail for Uyghurs.
– Pakistan: Forcible repatriation of Uyghurs, 1st case 1997, 14 Uyghurs, executed behind the border.

This case and a trove of 1,546 cases, across 28 countries of detention and deportation between 1997-March 2021, have been compiled by the Oxus Society for Central Asian Affairs and the UHRP in a new report No Space Left To Run launched in June this year (2021).

This database shows that it isn’t just hypocrisy from the leaders of Muslim majority countries, but it is about active collaboration with China.

This is the duplicity of the leaders of Muslim majority countries. With one breath they swear allegiance to their Muslim brothers, whilst at the same time they are still content to receive large handouts from China.

5. Muslims Against the New ‘Masters’

Muslims also don’t like to be enslaved, neither economically, nor socially (surveillance) or politically, neither by their corrupt elites nor by this new sort of empire building from China’s Communist Party.

There is a growing ”worldwide civil society discontent (which is) increasingly sceptical about Chinese political and economic influence in their countries.”

”As China’s narrative of condition-free, debt-free, and sustainable capital unravels, protests in Argentina, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam, among others, should give leaders in Muslim-majority states pause for thought: is it worthwhile to conform to Beijing’s vision of the world in exchange for aid, trade, and investment when citizens increasingly question this policy?”

□ comment: Of course it is not worth it, because these short-sighted politics will lead those countries into new, further dependencies and stagnation.

Numbers on the War of Terror

= The blessings and peace of Allah on Prophet Muhammad, his Family, and his Companions. =

1.

Shortly after the attacks of Sep. 11, 2001, Bush and his government (shown below) declared what they called called ‘the war on terror‘. As it was feared and and as it turned out it was a the war of terror.

Quoted:
The numbers are staggering. These statistics, nameless and faceless, attempt to quantify the costs of two decades of wars and interventions initiated by the United States after [ □ comment: after the alledged and by now refuted] al Qaeda’s stunning act of mass murder on Sept. 11, 2001.

millions-displaced

HUMAN COST: OVER 929,000

The number of people killed directly in the violence of the wars in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Syria, Yemen and elsewhere are approximated here. Several times as many civilians have died due to the reverberating effects of these wars.

millions-displaced2

PEOPLE DISPLACED: 38 MILLION

38 million people have been displaced by the post-9/11 wars in Afghanstan, Pakistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Yemen, Somalia and the Philippines.

U.S. BUDGETARY COSTS: $8 TRILLION

The vast economic impact of the post-9/11 wars in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Syria, and elsewhere is poorly understood by the U.S. public and policymakers. This paper estimates the budgetary costs of war, including past expenditures and future obligations to care for veterans of these wars.

□ comment: visualise a trillion $, what is it?
– 1 million: 1 000 000
– 1 billion: 1000* 1 000 000 = 1 000 000 000
– 1 trillion: 1000* 1 000 000 000 = 1 000 000 000 000

GEOGRAPHIC REACH: OVER 85 COUNTRIES

From 2018 to 2020, the U.S. government undertook what it labeled “counterterrorism” activities in at least 85 countries, in an outgrowth of President George W. Bush’s “Global War on Terror.” This map displays air/drone strikes, on-the-ground combat, “Section 127e” programs, military exercises, and operations to train and/or assist foreign forces.

3. The cost of the war of terror

The wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Global War on Terror will cost us $6.5 trillion in interest payments alone through to 2050. These wars are also called the ”Credit Card Wars”.

To consider:

  • Through Fiscal Year 2022, the United States federal government has spent and obligated $8 trillion dollars on the post-9/11 wars in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, and elsewhere.
  • This total omits many other expenses, such as the macroeconomic costs to the US economy; the opportunity costs of not investing war dollars in alternative sectors
  • Public access to budget information about the post-9/11 is imperfect and incomplete
  • The current wars have been paid for almost entirely by borrowing. This borrowing has raised the US budget deficit, increased the national debt, and had other macroeconomic effects, such as raising consumer interest rates…
  • Unless the US immediately repays the money borrowed for war, there will also be future interest payments. We estimate that interest payments could total over $6.5 trillion by the 2050s.

Remembering Israel’s Brutal Massacre of Palestinian Civilians in Kafr Qasem

[Quotes from the original article]
Israel’s seemingly never-ending drive to uproot Palestinians from their homes by force of arms and threat of imminent slaughter resulted in one of its bloodiest massacres on 29 October 1956 in the village of Kafr Qasem, on the Israeli side of the 1949 Armistice (“Green”) Line.

In one of the worst massacres in Palestinian history, Israeli border police killed forty-nine residents of Kafr Qasem, including women and children

[ □ comment: Read this and realise how Zionist butchers cloak their killing project to give it the appearance of ‘legality’!]

Already living under military rule following Israel’s first wave of ethnic cleansing when it was created in Palestine in 1948, a curfew was imposed by the occupation state at 4:30pm on twelve Palestinian villages, including Kafr Qasem. Hundreds of villagers who had left home in the morning to go to work had no way of knowing that a curfew was in place. Soldiers tasked with enforcing the curfew were ordered to shoot and kill anyone seen outside after 5pm, making no distinction between men, women, children and those returning from outside the village.

Predictably, Palestinian residents returning to their homes after the 5pm deadline were stopped by the border police on the western side of the village. Soldiers forced them out of their vehicles and ordered them to dismount from their bicycles before shooting them at close range. In just under an hour 49 people were killed, including women and children.

According to Palestinian historians, the massacre at Kafr Qasem mirrored the typical Israeli blueprint of terrorising Palestinians into fleeing. In his book Atlas of Palestine, 1917-1966, Dr Salman Abu Sitta lists at least 232 places where atrocities, massacres, destruction, plunder and looting were carried out by the Zionists between 1947 and 1956. Almost every one of thirty military operations were accompanied by one or two massacres of civilians. There were at least seventy-seven reported massacres, half of which took place before any Arab regular soldier set foot in Palestine during the 1948 Israeli-Arab war.

The pattern of expulsion was consistent, regardless of the region, date or the particular battalion involved in attacking a town or village. The imposition of a curfew was common practice prior to a massacre. Villagers would be gathered in the main square or nearby field in separate groups, while the village itself was surrounded on three sides, leaving the fourth open for escape or expulsion. The gap left open for Palestinians to flee in the Galilee region pointed towards Lebanon and Syria; towards the West Bank and Jordan in central Palestine; and towards Gaza and Egypt in the south.
